Jeremiah 29:11
Good day!
Today’s verse is Jeremiah 29:11: ”For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. If you will call on Me and pray, I will listen.“
This verse is very personal to me. When I first came upon this verse I was a new father. I had changed careers. My new career kept me away from my family, and I was having financial problems. Not to mention, I was missing my family and second-guessing everything I had prayed about. As a believer, we have many names for these times. Some will say we are going through a season of change. Others will say we are being refined by fire. Regardless of how you classify your troubles, the Lord got me through those days. Sometimes it was minute by minute. Facing trials is never fun. It will test you and your faith. But know this, God is faithful. Call on Him. Pray to Him. He will listen and He will get you through the difficult times.
I would be grateful if you would let me pray for you at this time.
Father, You are kind and merciful. We know that You carry us during the bad times and rejoice with us during the good times. I know that someone is being tested at this time. Maybe it is their health, family, finances, a relationship, or their career. Whatever their issue may be, please be with them. Bless them and as always, may Your Name be glorified in all that we do. Lord, Bless the staff at Hopewell High School. I ask this prayer in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
